I’m Tired of Feminists

Housewife's are afraid of Feminists.
I am tired of feminists, plain and simple. Looking at these pictures of women, women from the time they gained suffrage, powerful women, and women who are still enduring great inequality, I just realize that I’m entirely sick of feminism. I know there’s a lot of countries where women are still greatly oppressed, but, at least at the moment, I don’t really care that much.
I live in America. Here in America, women have their equality. Sure, maybe over all the average salary at the end of the year is little bit lower for them, but in almost every other aspect of their lives they have much more power over men than they’ll ever admit. Not only that, but being defined as a feminist just adds so many negative connotations to yourself.
I can understand why the suffragettes were important during their time. Feminism was important, but only for the period of time that this group of women who wanted to be able to do what they wanted in life was needed. Now-a-days (at least in most modernized countries), women can really do whatever they want. Now feminism means something much more sinister, women’s power over men. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think (most) feminists are actively trying to gain power over men, but I do think that, subconsciously, it’s what they’re striving for.
A group that is singularly female, and that strives only for the rights of females cannot have any hope at ultimate success. With feminism, there is no unity with men. There is just what men are doing wrong, what women are doing right, and how society needs to be changed to accommodate women, with no regard to men.
Also with modern feminism, it’s almost become taboo for a woman to want to stay at home with their children. It’s become a terrible thing to want to be a housewife. My fiance herself doesn’t understand feminism and is sick of it. She just wants to be a housewife, wants to take care of our children, and make our home a nice place to be. Now, she and I can understand if you’re a woman and you want to move up the career ladder, but don’t make it shameful to not have such ambitions for the business world.
Men and women need to be on the same page. No more of this feminist bull. If you want equality, then work with the ENTIRE species to get it, not just claiming that your half is the only one that’s ever been wronged. Let’s face it, women get away with a lot more than men do. Men are stuck with their stereotype of being a provider, even if a woman wishes to enter the workforce too. Men are always to blame, and men are always the brunt of a joke about lower intelligence. If you want equality, you’ve got to be willing to actually work towards equality with both genders.
On an unrelated point, feminists have also gotten much more liberal and liberal, leaving conservative women far behind to fend for themselves. For example, a book has been written by Lorraine Murray titled, “Confessions of an Ex-Feminist.” Here Murray describes how she is completely unhappy with the way feminism has turned out. Her biggest point is the fact that feminist today have clung unto this “pro-choice” issue, making abortion ‘rights’ one of their biggest aims. This is something Murray abhors, and something that the original leaders of the feminist movement hated as well. Yet another reason why I think feminism needs to be put to an end and a new equality movement should take it’s place, a movement that doesn’t pick sides so harshly and make women who disagree with abortion feel ashamed to speak their opinion.
So, basically, I think feminists need to throw in the towel and join the rest of society. We get it, women are people too. We can move on with life now. However, I do think it is important to remember the feminism of the early-to-late 1900′s. As such, I’ve included a video that I think everyone should be required to watch so that we remember that we should strive for equality.
